I got my first two jobs working at Big 5 Sporting Goods and Game Crazy. At Big 5 I learned how to talk confidently to patrons and observe my managers. When I left Big 5 for Game Crazy there was responsibility where I became more than just a sales representative but also my own management. The team I worked with was a lot smaller where the ability to multi-task and learn to run the store by oneself proved invaluable.
Having attained my high school diploma at The High School at Moorpark College I enrolled as a full time student at Moorpark College. During this time I became a member of the Moorpark College Anime Club where I learned about the Japanese pop culture which intrigued me in learning the culture while at Moorpark College. I applied for various UC colleges after attaining my A.A. based on the degrees on History and Japanese. UC Santa Barbara took the initiative and offered Spring enrollment to try out their college where I started pursuing for a degree in Japanese and History.
I transferred as a Japanese Major and while I always appreciated the culture I didn't find my passion in the language but in the history so I switched majors to History. During my time as a UCSB student I volunteered at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library as an archivist intern. In the Summer of 2007 I completed my B.A. in History leaving with a well rounded education and verbose experience working as both a sales representative and manager.
Currently I am working as a Financial Representative for at&t mobility and I am able to utilize both my education and work experience. I am able to utilize my leadership skills by making critical decisions and managing co-workers.
While I am always providing the best service possible I am highly interested in moving on to careers that utilize my strengths more related to my passions. These passions include video games, history, radio, Japanese pop-culture and teaching.
