I am a screenwriter and director. Recently, my short film, ”Love's Invitation” placed in the Top Ten and won the award for Best Screenplay at The Shoot Out Boulder 24 Hour Film Festival 2009.
Currently I am a producer for the national TV show, Sex, God, Rock 'n Roll, written and directed by Stuart Davis. In addition to generally assisting Stuart in the production of the show, I create and run the live elements of the show during taping, as well as mixing post-production audio for episodes, commercial parodies, and other segments.
“As Director of the television series Sex, God, Rock 'n Roll, I found Ryan Oelke to be a brilliant and efficient producer. His work, from beginning to end, was fast, flexible, and flawless. I cannot recommend him highly enough to anyone in film or television.” - Stuart Davis, Creator & Director, Sex, God, Rock 'n Roll
I started my creative career as a self-taught musician, then pursuing a BA in music performance and sound engineering. I later completed a Master's in counseling & psychology, developing considerable insight into the emotional world of individuals and their relationships. Following that, I completed three years of study in Naropa University's renowned contemplative MA program in Indo-Tibetan Buddhism, where I studied intensely the contemplative teachings of Tibetan Buddhism.
I own a new media production company, PowerUp Productions, that helps individuals and businesses amplify their online voices.
