(Public Company; Online Media industry)
September 2007 — Present (11 months)
GA reporter, videographer, photographer, multimedia producer.
As the State Journal's MoJo, I write and post breaking news to lsj.com. I write traditional news stories, from briefs to in-depth stories, for the print edition. I shoot about two to three videos a week, and I shoot the occasional photo assignment when the photo desk is swamped. Some of my photos have made 1A. I've produced in-depth video packages, one about an innocent man freed from prison and another about neighborhoods springing back to life after they were shaken by homicides.
I've also helped train coworkers in editing audio and creating photo slideshows. Generally I'm the person pitching multimedia ideas in the metro staff meetings. And I come armed with a broadband card, so I've written about fires, murders, etc. from my '99 Honda Civic.
