I am currently a junior Computer Engineering student at Northeastern University. I am focusing my studies on computer and systems security.

Worked with the software that partners use to certify hardware for the hardware compatibility list. Assisted with bug fixes and partner support requests. Maintained contacts across multiple teams to integrate a new type of certification into this software. Delivered a feature for a proof-of-concept release that automates several types of OS installations on certification testbed virtual machines.

Freshman Year: Learned about common spam filtering methods (mainly for SpamAssassin). Devised a method of benchmarking effectiveness and overhead in spam filtering. Applied for and received a Provost’s
Undergraduate Research Grant. Submitted a paper to, and attended the Conference on Email and Anti-Spam 2007.
Fall 2008: Working for Professor Kaeli, I analyzed CPU and I/O workloads on VMware ESX using a framework developed by another one of his students. A report summarizing this work was
produced.

Designed a temperature gradient system to be used on experiments with microfluidic devices. Wrote LabView software to control, monitor, and log data for this system. Provided assistance to others in the lab with writing LabView code, and general troubleshooting. Implemented a wiki for streamlining the lab.

Compared the performance of an IP-PBX appliance running on hardware, the VMWare ESX hypervisor, and the XenSource Enterprise hypervisor. Utilized many different performance analysis and benchmarking tools to characterize this application.
