Currently, I am making progress to complete my dissertation and obtain my PhD in Sociology from NC State University.
My professional goal is to obtain a career track position in social science research, grant administration, or related field with a federal, state, or private agency.
My research interests broadly focus on medical sociology, public health, criminal justice, rural and community development, and survey research methodology. My training, coursework, and experience form a global perspective of social, health, and economic needs in various regions of human interaction.

As a part-time Associate, my duty was to conducted analyzes and management of the “Bridge” grant (juvenile offender to adult
recidivist study) through the North Carolina Governor’s Crime Commission, employing primary and secondary data to study recidivism over a 10 year period. I also created and updated SAS programs, merge multiple data sets, and clean data; analyzed SAS outputs and provide accurate and appropriate policy recommendations; and coordinate with the professional staff to clearly and concisely relate the analytical findings in written reports and presentations.
