Enterprise Technology Engineer, Commercial Artist in pre and post computer era, Musician including digital music

I grew up around my father who was a "Manufacturing Production Artist" (4-color press printer), and began to learn some of the trade before I turned 12. I was formally educated in the entire commercial art process from conception to press during my teenage years before the Industry largely used computers. I can do Ruby-lith and camera jobs although pretty useless today. In college, starting in 1993, I applied this entire knowledge to computers, producing jobs in vectorized art initially using Mac Draw (ha!).
That jump to computers in 1993 is which launched my current career in computers. I was never formally trained in Computer Science, learning everything I know on my own. I practiced my knowledge at my student job in College, and also some consulting work I took on. Eventually I learned enough to attract myself to my first full-time job which I engineered and operated a small college network with a colleague.
My passion was always, and still is, Art. But Music was my second passion that disciplined me through school. I learned everything there was about computers and music including creating digital music, and music on the Internet. That later which I wrote a publication on, "Copyright Music on the Information Infrastructure" accessible from my web site.
I also applied my Commercial Art experience in music, promoting a semi-famous local jazz band, and creating T-Shirts for music events.
Today, I do everything that has anything to do with the combinations of Art, Music and Computers. You name it, I have experienced it.
At one time I wanted to design CD Jackets, and print music publications, and do commercial art jobs for Music Companies, using my knowledge in Art and Computer Technology.
Today I devour the Internet, and all technology that encompasses it. If I don't know it, give me the weekend and I will. I apply what I know and what I eat as part of a Center at Western Illinois University.
