Rodrigo Sepúlveda Schulz, 37, is the co-founder and CEO of vpod.tv, a multimedia platform enabling corporations to create their own convergent InternetTV channels.
Recent customers include global brands such as L’Oréal, Danone, BNP Paribas, French Government, Fanta, Leroy-Merlin; media groups such as Radio Monte-Carlo, BFM, 20minutes.fr, France24 television, 01net.fr, Groupe Hersant; telcos such as SFR and large e-commerce sites.
vpod.tv has received numerous Innovation awards in Europe and the USA. In 2006, vpod.tv raised a $5.1m series A from Innovacom, the investment arm affiliated with Orange. Angel investors include serial entrepreneurs Martin Varsavsky (Fon), Loïc Le Meur (Seesmic) and Xavier Niel (Iliad/free.fr).
Previously, as acting CEO, he was instrumental in the successful launch and recent sale of glowria, a leading European online movie service.
In 2004, he led the mobile strategy team for AOL Europe, redefining the group's online and mobile presence.
Earlier, Rodrigo was a principal with Gemini Consulting, and a manager (founder of the e-business practice) at KPMG Consulting France, leading large scale European e-commerce (pan-European launch of Manutan.com) and media projects (global launch of OMD's online sites). He started his career as a consultant to the European operations of Intel and Novell.
Rodrigo is a Computer Science Engineer from EPITA, a graduate from the Sorbonne MBA (IAE de Paris), and holds an MBA from INSEAD, including an exchange term at the MBA program of the Wharton School in Philadelphia.
He is a sought-after speaker at media & Internet events worldwide including the Monaco Media Forum, DigitalHollywood, LeWeb3, LIFT, AdTech, Plugg, X-Innovation, ERA, Netcamp... and a regular speaker in the Entrepreneurship classes at INSEAD.

It was founded by Ivan Communod & Rodrigo Sepulveda.
The company was heavily involved in a number of private transactions or turnaround situations. Some of the best known companies were glowria (France), and servidores.com (Spain).

Glowria is the #1 on-line DVD rental service in France and #2 service in Germany. It also offers a VoD service.
Glowria pioneered a unique revenue-sharing business model with all major studios (Warner, Universal, Fox Pathé Europa, etc.) and partners (Carrefour, AOL, FranceLoisirs, etc.).
The company was sold to Netgem, a public company, in 2007.

After joining as CTO then COO in 2003, I left for AOL Europe in 2004. I was called back in December 2004, and took over the interim CEO role. My job was to streamline operations (catalog acquisition, sales & marketing, IT, logistics, customer care, site development, cost accounting) and prepare for a next round of financing. We completed a third round of financing of 4m€ (June 2005) to bring the company to profitability and launch our video-on-demand service.
At the same time, I was responsible for all our distribution channels (major portals, ISPs...) and marketing mix and signed 5 major deals.
