The customer has always been the "center" of my IT career.
My main focus is on customer's business needs and how to improve and support them in the easiest and most cost effective way.
I'm interetested in evolving towards "Tecnology Director" and/or "Chief Innovation Officer" and/or "Chief Knowledge Strategist".
I have always been attracted to every tecnological aspect of life (media, devices, software).
My thought is "IT/IS people" should not only be associated with specific technical needs but they should be aware that tecnology is everywhere, improving their capabilities both in professional and consumer fields.
Here is a quick history of my career background:
After graduating in "Computing Science" at the University of Milan, I began my career developing software using "C.A.S.E." metodology.
Then I started my own IT company in my native city (Genoa-Italy), specializing in IT change plans, including both infrastructure and software developing projects where tecnology held an important role.
After 8 and a half years I took the opportunity to join an important italian insurance company (LLoyd Italico) where I worked for 2 years (as system engineer for 9 months and was then promoted to Help Desk Manager for the remaining period of time).
Finally I joined Disney in Milan as Help Desk Manager for 3 and a half years.
In May 2005 I was promoted to "IT Service Delivery Sr. Manager for Italy at Walt Disney Company Italia S.p.a. for Walt Disney International".
In April 2008 My responsabilities have been extended to "IT Service Delivery Sr. Manager for Italy&Greece at Walt Disney Company Italia for Walt Disney International".
