maurgood also incorporates sustainability internally at all levels as reflected by its Bronze Level Partnership with P2AD (Pollution Prevention Assistance Division of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources). In addition, maurgood is a woman-owned firm that is devoted to advancing the participation of other woman-owned and diversity-promoting business.

Prior to founding maurgood, Peyser served as chief sustainability officer at Environmental Planning Specialists Inc. (EPS), and was also a practicing lawyer. Clients at EPS included Morehouse College, Home Depot, Procter & Gamble, and Honeywell.

Her clients include airline carriers, manufacturers, financial institutions and universities such as Delta Air Lines, Fenner Dunlop and Clark Atlanta University.

Peyser has also taught courses on sustainability and development, globalization, continuing legal education and comparative politics for a variety of professional organizations and institutions, including for the American Bar Association (ABA) and Georgia State University.

She is also a frequent speaker and writer on sustainability and corporate responsibility issues. Her more recent activities include the Board of Directors, Green Chamber of the South (October 2008); and the Atlanta Women's Network Board of Directors (November 2008).
