As Office Manager of the Cape Town office of Frieze Films my duties were varied. I co-ordinated all temporary office staff in terms of work areas, stationery provisions and equipment. My role entailed keeping location libraries up to date and organised as well as researching locations to suit potential storyboards in order to entice potential clients to shoot with us. We also kept a library of Editors, Directors and Producers show-reels. My duties also included co-ordinating Production Assistants ensuring that they were put to use in the most effective way. I received and approved all office accounts for payment by our Johannesburg Head Office.
As Producer’s Assistant my role entailed taking care of my Producer, dealing with various tasks both personal and professional, thus allowing her to focus entirely on the project at hand. My Producer’s personal accounts, appointments and functions were also controlled by me.
