Dr. Baranov's research is directed toward the development of
novel real-time imaging modalities and laser surgical procedures for
diagnosis and treatment of disease in humans. His main focus is design and implementation of real-time feedback systems incorporated multi modalities approach. Dr. Baranov believes the combination of various macro- and microscopic imaging methods in one experimental setup/procedure is among many ambitious research areas in biomedical imaging ranging from full body or organ visualization to molecular and nanoscale imaging. Implementation of an advanced multi-threaded programming and digital processing makes possible to bring such high-performance systems into real medical life.
