Eight years as the lead developer in a detail-oriented department with client-impacting deadlines. Experience with refactoring code, library design, code encapsulation, and project management. Twelve years as a proven leader in continuous improvement of process and coding practices.
I have spent the past year focused on upgrading my Java and web skills in pursuit of a return to development. This includes passing Sun Certification in June 2008. I am currently working on a project utilizing Eclipse, Tomcat, Struts, JUnit, XML, MySQL, iBatis and other technologies. I am also studying for the Sun Certified Java Programmer exam (SCJP).
I am currently seeking new opportunities. My preference is for an individual contributor position in Java development or SAS programming, but I am open to all opportunities. Please feel free to share my information with your connections.
I have an Irish passport, so can work throughout the European Union.
