As a Metaverse Evangelist based at IBM’s Hursley Park laboratory in the UK I provided strategy for virtual worlds within IBM’s intranet and championed the use of public virtual worlds by corporate employees.

As an Emerging Technology Services specialist I worked on a wide range of new and innovative solutions for customer problems. I have engaged directly with several customers, proposing and delivering solutions with a focus on Emerging Technolgy.
When a large news organisation wanted to deploy 'ambient' technology in their London headquarters, I integrated an Ambient Orb with their existing data feeds.
Wrote a pervasive messaging solution, complete with a mobile application, to help information exchange between different lines of business at a major bank.
I collaborated with students at Cardiff University to explore Rich Internet Application techniques and create a graphing application using OpenLazslo.
I was an early adopter and internal enthusiast and evangelist for Virtual Worlds. Worked with clients to investigate potential marketing and commercial exploitations of Virtual Worlds.

2003 - 2006, MicroBroker development, IBM Pervasive Messaging:
Lead developer in the Pervasive Messaging Technologies team. Acted as the technical point of contact for other software labs as well as key business partners. Technical representative for IBM on Floodnet project to help create an 'intelligent flooding sensor network'.
2001 - 2003, IBM Business Integration for Games:
Significant involvement with the design and architecture of IBM's Business Integration for Games solution, owning and designing the 'process broker' server component.
1998 - 2001, IBM WebSphere MQ Everyplace:
I contributed to the on-time delivery of WebSphere MQe 1.0 in a test role. Joined MQe level 3 service. In this role I also presented at several customer conferences on MQe and pervasive messaging, including the Solutions Developer Conference (San Francisco), WebSphere conference (Athens), Share (Nashville), Share, (Minneapolis), Inner Circle (San Francisco).
