Ron Record's Summary
I've built, distributed, integrated, maintained, documented, supported and developed UNIX and Linux distributions on Intel architectures for the last 28 years. I was involved in the first port of UNIX to the Intel 8086 in 1983 all the way through serving as SCO's primary representative and voting member on the UnitedLinux Management team in the 21st century. My professional goals include continuing to evolve the UNIX/Linux operating environments bringing the power, stability, scalability and services of these platforms to small and medium businesses.
Specialties
Formerly responsible for SCO ports of VMware Tools, KDE, Mozilla, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Samba, Cups, Heimdal Kerberos 5, Cdrtools-ProDVD, Ghostscript, Squid, Tomcat, OpenOffice, VNC, Eclipse, and many more open source projects. I have also served as SCO's Chief Security Officer, monitoring security alerts and posting security advisories.
