Collaborated with Berkley on a SOA that enables a scientists to run combustion simulations faster and easier
-Lead a team of developers in the implementation of a Java web services prototype used to submit combustion simulations to super computers. The prototype was successfully presented in a live demonstration in front of top decision makers at the US Department of Energy
Lead Software Developer to the Digital Sherpa project. Digital Sherpa is a grid application for executing jobs on many separate HPC resources across the TeraGrid . Digital Sherpa automates non-scalable tasks such as authentication, staging, job submission and monitoring
-Implementation was done in Java using the Globus Toolkit 4.0
-Implemented a multithreaded profiling tool in Java
-Pioneered Gid Application Development
-Digital Sherpa quadrupled the efficiency of national super computers by saving thousands of hours of time and money; enables previously un-solvable scientific problems to be solved
