Ron Sinclair’s Summary
My experience comprises over five years of security experience within the Washington-DC/Metro area, employed within Netsec, Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), Northrop Grumman, and VerizonBusiness. I've filled Tier I and Tier II security analyst positions, managed side projects such as Linux/Unix shell scripting, basic and intermediate troubleshooting of infrastructure network devices, system mainenance and administration, generating reports, providing information for daily matrices, and maintained continuity of SOC operations as the dayshift lead. I've also built NIDS using pre-existing images but have also built customized NIDS and Antivirus servers on both Linux and Windows platforms. I've also occupied a position on a vulnerability assessment (VA) team using industry-standard open-source and proprietary tools, maintaining Foundstone VA equipment and an OpenBSD Nessus server.
My goal is to be able to eventually become either a SOC or project manager. I've an interest in being a certified incident handler. Another goal is to finish my degree work.
