President and CEO Adjusters International
Utica, New York Area
President and Chief Executive Officer of Adjusters International, one of the nation's premier disaster recovery consulting organizations. Adjusters International represents the interests of organizations sustaining losses from disasters. Its experts focus on the FEMA grant application process and property insurance claims.
More than 20 years ago, Cuccaro worked to bring together the best regional public adjusting firms to form Adjusters International, a corporation with the capacity to react to widespread natural disasters with the highest level of resources and professional expertise, and a core commitment to its clients for excellence and integrity.
Adjusters International has provided disaster recovery assistance resulting from the Mexico City, San Francisco, and Los Angeles earthquakes; the 1993 flooding in the Midwest; and every hurricane to have struck the U.S. and Caribbean since 1985. Cuccaro coordinated the team of Adjusters International professionals named to the Governor's Task Force on Damage Assessment for Oklahoma City following the bombing in that city; coordinated Adjusters International's role as consultants to the Government of Kuwait with respect to its UN war reparation claims and led the Adjusters International consulting teams that assisted the Port Authority of New York/New Jersey following the both the 1993 and the 2001 World Trade Center attacks.
For his work in assisting with recovery of FEMA disaster grant funding after the September 11 attacks, Cuccaro received the James G. Hellmuth Unit Citation "for invaluable contribution to the World Trade Center Loss Recovery Team." Cuccaro is one of only two people from outside the Port Authority who were ever bestowed the honor. (The other was John W. Marini, C.O.O of Adjusters International.)
He also is the publisher of Adjusting Today and Disaster Recovery Today; technical periodicals distributed to over 50,000 property insurance claim and FEMA grant professionals.
