Roger Dean is a strategist who is equally capable of developing technology in response to management visions as he is in executing detailed and complex media projects. His work has involved the design and execution of solutions in New York, London, Hong Kong and Tokyo. The most visible example is the huge, block-length LED sign on the front of 745 7th Avenue in NYC.
Most recently, Dean has developed digital signage networks and content distribution systems for deployment in North America. These networks comprise of LED billboards as well as LCD panels. He has managed both the technical aspects of the systems and has provided production management and content services. Systems under use have included C-nario, Linsn and Dynamax's POV.
As Senior Vice President and Director of Global Multimedia at Lehman Brothers NY, Dean was responsible for worldwide multimedia strategy and was accountable for daily content production and distribution operations in support of internal and external clients. With a team of 55, he drove the integration and alignment of global functions and standardized operations and production methodologies around industry best practices.
As VP of Multimedia at Morgan Stanley in New York, Dean developed the AV team into a powerful strategic tool for the firm.
Dean has provided management consultancy to IT engineering departments, delivering capital plans, technology architecture roadmaps and engineering staff development courses. Dean has also assisted start up companies to develop business plans, VC presentations and strategies for emerging technology.
Dean has presented at conferences and moderated panels on many occasions, including NAB and Streaming Media East and Streaming Media West. Dean is a founding Board member of the International Webcasting Association where he currently serves as Chairman. He is a member of the IEEE and is Project Management Professional (PMP) certified.
