Startup Weekend Columbus (Google SWC) brings together developers, attorneys, project managers, marketing pro's, and entrepreneurs to build as many companies as possible in less then 54 hours. As an organizer I helped find location for the event, online promotions, meal planning, and other duties to bring a successful event to Columbus for entrepreneurs to flourish. Specific duties included the managing of the social media and community outreach that took place over the weekend. Other responsibilities included coordinating and interviewing sponsors, participants, and key note speaker, managing the twitter account, and disseminating behind the scenes information to general public. Through these efforts, SWC was able to produce 11 startup companies with a great future ahead.
