    • Linux administration - basic login and account handling (changing passwords)
    • Running Perl scripts in a Unix environment.
    • Perl to PHP conversion of a MySQL dumping script. The script would acquire the table structure of a foreign database. It would then connect to this foreign database and pass the results into an array. Particular SQL modes would be chosen depending on the available table key types (Primary, Index and Unique). After a procedural update has taken place it would disconnect.

    • Uses session cookies to keep track of customer's behaviour. The administration system featured a statistics section which showed individual sessions, time stamps, page views and the user's country of origin.
    • Backend page scraping was developed using CURL to connect to other SUMO based websites. A list of online psychics was to be scraped from an AJAX based table and used to update the list on Mystic Connect. Regular expressions were used to identify the key components and procedural inserts and updates were made where needed.
