    As the European operation for an USA MA-based company designing and manufacturing video editing and effects hardware/software, my role was to run their operations in Europe, Middle East and Africa. I was responsible for the UK/European head office directly, and through local regional managers for our offices in France, Germany and Italy. We handled all aspects of logistics, sales, support and marketing - everything except development.
    Sales were managed through a well-organised channel of VARs and Distributors, supported by our own staff. European marketing was originated in the UK or reworked from the US HQ. The European organisation regularly over-performed on its targets in sales, whilst maintaining sound financial control.
