I began my career doing FPGA design (VHDL not Verilog) and writing test software. I moved on to owning a small business in the sports training industry. I sold my stake, did some freelance technical writing and programming work, taught some courses at the University of Louisville, and now have moved on to do business development for a small local tech company.
I started the first open source business project on the web, "The Business Experiment," which closed down in March 2006. You can read more about it at http://tinyurl.com/2hzgtz. It is now used as a case study at M.I.T.
I blogged for 5 years at www.businesspundit.com, until I sold it in February 2008. I've built and sold facebook apps, and produced the video show you see at Popcrunch.com.
Currently I am Editor in Chief at Vupal, a new media startup with a focus on video and community. Right now we are focused on the food niche. You can see some of our stuff at www.groceryschool.com, www.foodgearshow.com (more to come).
I really really really love solving complex problems and am particularly fascinated by two topics. 1. How Things Get Valued 2. How the Brain Works. My dream job is to run a value investing fund.
