Rob Kirton’s Summary

As a commercially focused and results driven IT practitioner, my prime aim is to help my customers improve their business performance and bottom line results.

I have Worked in IT since 1983, first as a systems developer, later growing into budget holding project leadership and project management roles. Originally from the manufacturing sector, more latterly gaining substantial experience in electronic payments / card processing, telecommunications, government and e-commerce.

More latterly I have chosen to return to more hands on roles "working at the coal face", specifically in the e-commerce web development sphere.

Currently majoring in e-commerce, web design and development with (X)HTML, CSS, Javascipt and server side scripting. Expertise lies in semantics, web standards, usability, accessibility and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

Previously successful in carrying out team leading and project management roles. Knowledge encompasses Customer Relationship Management, retail billing, B2B Interconnect wholesale charging, network mediation, electronic payments (authorisation, clearing and settlement)
