I've worked for and with Global Fortune 100 companies in various training related capacities including training department management, curriculum development, coach and mentor, training sales consulting, and outsourced vendor quality of training and staff certification program management.
I am one of the USA country representatives for the development of the International Standards Organisation's (ISO) 13146 standard (for Learning Organisations), the Intellectual Property Board Director for the International Board of Standards in Training, Performance, and Instruction (ibstpi.org), the Vice-Chair for CompTIA's Certified Technical Trainer (CTT+) advisory board and an Editorial Board Member for the Academy of Human Resources Development`s Scholar-to-Practice Journal (Sage Publications).
I'm also published in various professional and peer reviewed journals on topics like blended learning/elearning, learning games and simulations, humour in the workplace, rubric for corporate blogging, trainer's toolkit for the classroom of the 2015s, managing the multicultural/multigenerational workplace, training department certification and instructor competencies, among others.
My speaking engagements include both universities [New York University (NYC), Columbia University (NYC), Oxford Brookes (Oxford, UK), Universidad de Catalunya (Barcelona, Spain), St Anthony School System (Philippines)] and professional associations American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), Canadian Society for Training and Development (CSTD), Academy of Human Resources Development (AHRD), and the Adult Education Research Conference (AERC)] conferences spanning globally including UK, Germany, Malaysia, Spain, Philippines, Canada and the United States.
