At about the age of 10, I graduated from Legos into computers and electronics and never looked back. I called the video store every day to see if the new ColecoVisions came in and got an Apple IIc for my Bar Mitzvah.
25 years later, I'm a father and a husband--two very important jobs, but the pay is lousy. So, in addition, I manage a company my wife and I created called OyBaby LLC.
Our first products, marketed under the OyBaby brand, are the first and only DVD and CD series made especially for Jewish babies and kids. I do all of the filming, editing, website and package design, order fulfillment, marketing and PR for the company. We've sold 40,000 OyBaby products to date in all 50 states and 15 countries. As we like to say, 40,000 Jewish Babies Can't Be Wrong!

Our latest products are That Baby DVD and That Baby CD. These are our company's first non-religious products. They feature kid-friendly acoustic covers of songs written by artists like Bruce Springsteen, Neil Diamond, Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon, and Fleetwood Mac. They were released in October, 2007 to rave reviews and are distributed nationally at Pottery Barn Kids stores. http://www.thatbabydvd.com
I can kick your ass at Trivial Pursuit.
I also write a blog at www.robtheexplainer.com. For me, it's a way to learn about blogging and see where it takes me professionally. For you, it's a place to come and get all of your stupid questions answered.
I'm kidding. They're not stupid. They're just topics that many bloggers just assume you know. As I say in my tagline "you weren't born knowing this stuff." So, it is a place to get up to speed...to get a quick explanation of the hot topics being discussed elsewhere online.

In 2003, I created the world's first DVD and CD made especially for Jewish babies. A second edition followed in 2005. I filmed the videos, edited them, designed the packaging and website, create and manage all advertising, and even do the gift-wrapping! To date, 25,000 OyBaby products have been sold in 48 states and 12 countries.
In October 2007, I released That Baby DVD and CD, my first non-religious products. They feature great acoustic cover versions of songs written by artists like Neil Diamond, Joni Mitchell, The Pretenders, Fleetwood Mac, and others. The DVD combines this music with visuals of kids at play, nature, puppets, and animation.

In my 9 years of combined experience at Microsoft (1995-1998, 2001-present), I've worn many hats: Marketer, product planner, business analyst, and competitive watchdog. I've worked on a diverse range of consumer-facing products such as games, Windows XP, Office for Mac, and currently, MSN Shopping and Search. Key accomplishments include driving business requirements and negotiating licensing for 2 game titles, work on the retail launch of Windows XP, driving marketing campaigns that led to record sales of Office for Mac, analysis of the search market, and due dilligence of a $500M acquisition opportunity.
