Zune Podcast Producer role is overseeing the video and audio podcast catalog at Zune, as well as the subgenres associated with audio and video podcasts. This position merchandises, produces and publishes podcasts programs to ensure the content feature pages reflects the identity and overall marketing objectives of Zune that is competitive and matches the interests of Zune customers. Responsibilities include podcast and digital media industry communications and marketing programs. Working alongside the entertainment marketing team, this position conceptualizes genre-based features and create thematic discovery mechanisms. Directed the development, recruitment and production of short-form mobilcast podcast audio programs and manage an inventory of over 8,000 audio and video podcasts from major media sources like NPR, MSNBC, New York Times, Mercury News and CNN for Melodeo Mobilcast mobile phone podcast listening platform. I also develop and manage content partnership relationships with NPR, InfoWorld and many other podcast content providers. I led the editorial team that deployed on-phone podcast content directories for Mobilcast podcast listening application launches with Rogers Wireless in Canada, Alltel Wireless and Cingular in the USA, M1 Wireless in Singapore and 3 UK. Developed the marketing strategy and managed the implementation of a comprehensive marketing plan for this venture capital funded start-up. Position initially involved conducting market research that helped create the ShopperBox Network brand name, brand positioning, product feature set, graphics, media relations, site promotion and investor relations. The position included staff recruiting and hiring for this package delivery kiosk technology startup company. The ShopperBox was a high-tech and secure package delivery locker system for apartment and condo complexes for major package delivery carriers such as UPS and FedEx.
I assisted engineering in the development of a functional ShopperBox prototype. Oversaw marketing budget, sales forecasting, public relations, prototype installation, deployment, multi-family marketing plan and launch of this Internet-controlled, unattended ShopperBox delivery station. Developed strong local and national media coverage of the ShopperBox brand.
