I connect people, content and ideas.
I lead program strategy and content development as Director of Programs & Research for the Promotion Marketing Association, Inc. I’m an award-winning marketer who has serviced clients, built brands and contributed to bottom lines for over 17 years, including stints at WPP’s Uniworld Group and Dentsu-affiliate Renegade Marketing Group. My background includes working with brands such as Burger King Corporation; IBM; Panasonic; Urbanworld Film Festival; Capitol Records; Pontiac; Cadillac and Honda; as well as individual artists and organizations such as the Black Rock Coalition; and the Caribbean Cultural Center. As well, I marketed and distributed Bridgett M. Davis’ debut feature, “Naked Acts,” which made money from its theatrical release in New York City and is now available on video and DVD.
In the area of music, I’m developing digital and live event platforms around Black rock through my company BoldasMEDIA.
I currently write two blogs, http://www.marketingpopculture.com --which covers brands, pop culture and the ecology of business, and http://www.boldaslove.us, which chronicles the mainstreaming of Black rock.
Occasionally, you’ll find me DJ-ing an eclectic selection that spans Brooklyn to the Bay, Mali to Mumbai and many points in between. Since 1998, I've studied Wing-Tsun kung fu, and am trying to keep in mind that it's about the journey, not the destination.

I formed BoldasMEDIA to further develop platforms and vehicles around Black rock. The first platform is the blog, Bold As Love and the second is the live event series BoldasLIVE, which has featured artists such as music icon Nona Hendryx and The Family Stand. More to come in 2008.
