Software developer, specialising in Microsoft technologies, currently working primarily in C# (2.0), SQL Server 2005 and "Classic" ASP / VB6 / SQL Server 2000(for the support of legacy applications). I'm generally technology agnostic and will use the technology best suited to implementing a solution, after all 80% is syntax.
Major projects in previous roles have included:
- Updating a clients web based Stock Control platform used at over 400 sites. This involved large scale, cross-team project planning, defect prioritisation and close co-ordination with the client.
- Producing a solution for the betting industry to allow near-real-time transmission of race information from on course staff to betting shops via a web client, a critical project to the success of Alphameric PLCs joint venture, Amalgamated Racing.
- Architecting and leading the implementation of an application integration solution for Caterwide intended to act as our "Next Generation" solution for both internal and third party integration. Implemented in C# 2.0, the solution is currently providing integration services to Navision systems and 3rd party supply chain providers for electronic procurement.
