A Human Service & Child Advocacy professional with over 8 years of volunteer work and experience in child care and community work. Currently serving my second year of AmeriCorps.
-Supervising a youth-run talk show which airs on local community access tv station, RCTV. Edit show in Final Cut Pro. Organize shoots, interviews and transportation.
-Co-supervise a youth-run magazine out of local high school. Design cover and layout along with youth. Assist in editing youth's work.
-Assist with youth entrepreneur week-long camp, Biz Kid$.
-Design flyers for City Rec events. Shooting and editing video for local youth art program, ArtPeace. Composing music for anti-violence videos through RCTV.

I am currently serving my second year in Rochester AmeriCorps. AmeriCorps is basically the same idea as PeaceCorps, except domestic. The Rochester AmeriCorps program is very youth and human-services driven. I spend a full year working at a site receiving no wage but a 'living stipend'. I receive a break on my college loans, great connections and top-notch experience.

I worked for Chautauqua Opportunities at Silver Creek Elementary as an After School Assistant. I was hired in the program's first year and had a hand in it's first stages of development. My responsibilities consisted of implementing day-to-day lesson plans, general supervision of the age group that I was assigned each day and at times, writing up my own lesson plans. I worked mostly with K-1 but also occasionally worked with 4-6 graders.
