Since I started in IT in 1994 through my tenure at Experian North America ending in 2007, I've noticed a trend in every organization I've been involved with. With the omnipresence of technology in every business, many times best practices are ignored, infrastructure is handled by software developers, business leaders are tasked to make technology decisions, and/or technology leaders are tasked with making business decisions.
This trend is one of the most destructive elements that plague modern enterprises.
In December of 2007, I started Bradman Group, an Omaha/Lincoln area technology management think-tank. The goal of which is to bring top enterprise talent together to aid the small- to medium-business with development of cohesive technology and business strategy.
It is our belief that by taking a proactive and thorough approach, the SMB can be vastly better prepared to successfully scale its business in the future.
