Rob's Catalogue of Services (and pricing) is at http://www.twohills.co.nz/services
I founded Two Hills http://www.linkedin.com/companies/279821 in December 2005 to develop internet-based business opportunities. This is intended to make us financially independent and able to work from anywhere.
I write numerous articles and books, listed here: http://www.twohills.co.nz/portfolio. I have some notoreity as The IT Skeptic. My blog at www.itskeptic.org was initially an experiment in internet presence. It has grown to be a page-rank-4 site with monthly traffic in five figures, and has been the reason for me to be invited to speak at several international conferences.
I also consult on ITIL and related areas, and coach and train sales and service skills. See http://www.engrok.com
I am the newsletter editor for itSMFnz, the professional body for IT Service Management (eg. ITIL) practitioners.
Previously I was CA New Zealand’s Principal Consultant, working with CA (www.ca.com) clients to understand their business issues and requirements and to develop appropriate technology solutions to meet their needs. I dealt mostly with the banking, financial, telecoms, airline, government and defence sectors. I was also a technology strategist in the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (part of CA’s global research and development organisation).
I have managed a national team of pre-sales consultants, developed internal and external training (including four day professional development courses), done level one support for the entire product range, been CA Australia's year 2000 specialist, presented at many conferences, and managed client relationships.
I worked in the software industry for 20 years, 17 of them with CA, in Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong.
I hold a BSc in operations research from Victoria University, and ITIL V2 and V3 Foundation Certification from EXIN. I have also studied Adult Education and Electrical Engineering.
