I have been building websites since 1995 and writing about technology for almost as long. During that time I have been fortunate to work with a number of leading brands, including BASF, Tesco, Colgate-Palmolive, CBRE, FPDSavills, and many others.
In 2003, my wife and I started water&stone, a web development company specializing in open source content management systems. water&stone works with clients around the world and provides specialty offshore services for a number of design studios working the U.K., US and Australia. You can learn more at www.waterandstone.com
My professional focus is on web technologies in general and open source in particular. I also do an increasing amount of work in search marketing. Sector specialities include the travel industry and NGOs.
For a number of years, I worked sporadically as a freelance journalist, writing primarily about tech issues. I produced a weekly column and blog for the Bangkok Post for several years and wrote the Back Page column for ComputerWorld in 2006-2007.
I have been involved in publishing since 1987 and most recently published several tech books. "Mambo Visual Blueprint" was published by Wiley & Co in 2006. In 2007, I wrote "Drupal 5 Themes" for Packt Publishing. In September of 2008 we published the follow-up to: "Drupal 6 Themes." At present I am working on a book on the Ubuntu Desktop for Wiley & Co. That title should be on the market in Q1 of 2009.
I speak frequently on the Internet and Open Source at various trade and technology shows, including LinuxWorld, InternetWorld, Linux Business Conference and the Travel Distribution Summit.
