Rick Rommel's Overview
Rick Rommel's Summary
I’ve built innovative technology businesses throughout my career. These range from satellite simulation and control software businesses at Hughes, to Kiosk and photofinishing solutions at Kodak, to most recently Best Buy’s private label Consumer Electronics business.
Each of these businesses has “stood the test of time”, and leveraged my years of product development and business leadership experience. And while in each business a great team has delivered exceptional financial results, I think of each business as a “startup” within a large company that moved the needle for both the company and my teams.
Along the way I’ve developed an extensive global network of corporate, venture capital, and university relationships which are essential to creating new and innovative businesses.
So whether I’m advising a startup company, or working within a large corporation, creating or remaking businesses is what I do, and enjoy the most.
