I have been with Bank of America's User Experience group since 2005. I lead talented, multi-disciplinary UX teams to create designs and documentation for authenticated and sales environments. As UX lead for these enterprise projects, I regularly collaborate with business and technology teams, executives and vendors.
At Bank of America, I've designed the multiple-check Deposit Image experience for our next-generation ATMs, Spanish for Online Banking, HELOC account management, and the recently released Checking Account sales experience, and many other projects.
As a UX lead, I partner with business and technology leads, while coordinating the development and delivery of visual design, editorial, and usability components. I bring nearly a decade of interface design background, a broad understanding of usability principals and passion for great user experience together to deliver innovative designs. Combined with strong documentation and efficient project management, I work to ensure that projects are built and executed as designed.
Previously, I worked for 4 years at Wells Fargo, where I led the design team responsible for the ATM user experience. We handled interaction, visual design, and production interface and marketing graphics in house.
Before that, I began my design career as a web & graphic designer, under the banner of Design Purity. I earned my stripes as an independent contractor working mainly for small businesses. I provided design services and web strategy consultation, often creating the identity, collateral marketing materials, and online presence for my clients.
After receiving my BA in Sociology from UC Berkeley, I first began my UX career with many non-credentialed courses and trade schools, studying everything from PERL and SQL coding to HTML and Flash design. I soon began working freelance, then grew my business via referrals and my online portfolio.
