My philosophy is that brands need to practice Commitment Marketing within Social Media. Engage the consumer over the long haul by providing value. Social Media is not a short term play.
I also believe brands need to start thinking about Consumer ROI. As consumer's spend more than just money on a brand, smart marketers will start to measure the Consumer's ROI and develop strategies that provide more value, creating true brand evangelists.
