Previously, Criminal Justice Institute/Police Academy manager and Criminal Justice Professor who also provides expert police media commentary for local and national media (TV, radio, newspaper, and Internet), training, and public speaking presentations on police matters. My range of experience crosses all levels, sizes, and geography of American policing. I have served in reserve and full-time law enforcement roles including an auxiliary police lieutenant in New Jersey, Deputy Sheriff in New Mexico, and Police Chief in North Carolina.

I am certified to teach in the police academy for General Topics, Firearms, Defensive Tactics, Vehicle Operations, as well as Taser, pepper spray, expandable baton, and PR-24 baton. I also teach academic credit criminal justice courses in associates degree.
