Agile Coach at Humanizing Work
Greater Denver Area
Experienced software developer, agile coach, and technical leader.
My passion is building wildly productive, humanizing software development teams. I love to create environments where developers wake up excited about going to work in the morning and see themselves delivering beyond their expectations and those of their customers. Agile methodologies like Extreme Programming and Scrum are key tools in my toolbox, although I like to draw from a variety of disciplines.
I am one of a handful of Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Coaches.
Selected Presentations:
"Three-way Cultural Change" at Agile 2006 Conference
"Continuous Integration in Under an Hour" at Front Range Code Camp
"XP and Junior Developers: 7 Mistakes (and how to avoid them)" at Agile 2007 Conference
"Agile for CS Students" at University of Colorado ACM Chapter Meeting

August 2008 — Present (1 year 4 months)
I help software organizations adopt processes in which high quality software, fast time to market, happy employees and customers, and solid ROI all reinforce one another. I build in continuous improvement practices so my clients get better and better over time in all these areas. To get there, I draw from agile processes like Scrum and XP, Lean Thinking, Theory of Constraints, psychology, anthropology, and more.
