The Institute is a successor to the Australian Foresight Institute which was founded by Professor Richard Slaughter at Swinburne University. The AFI undertakes both commissioned and proprietary research into global futures across a range of literacies and interests. We also give strategic advice to governments, international NGOs and corporations (from explicitly non-western perspectives) concerning their ongoing viability.
