In April 2001, became the company’s fourth CEO in six years, and assumed management control of a company with a failed business model, poor customer service, high customer attrition rates, and an unsustainable balance sheet with over $600 million in debt.

Successfully completed operating turnaround, multiple financial restructurings, new organic marketing programs, $200 million acquisition of strategic competitor, and internal growth program resulting in two times revenue CAGR of industry during last five years.

• First national security company to introduce home automation services
• Changed customer acquisition model to be Salesforce-based from dealer-based to improve quality and controls.
• Developed new organic sales force of more than 500 reps on street.
• Created and led the most successful alliance between a regional Bell operating company and a security company. This co-branded alliance with BellSouth--“BellSouth Security Systems from Protection One”--operated for seven years until BellSouth was acquired by AT&T.
