Richard has a BA in Politics followed by an MSc in Organisation Development. He is qualified to conduct Psychometric tests and organisation Teambuilding. He started his career in Xerox in Management Development. He then moved as an operational HR manager in the UK Company. In 1987 he became HR & Quality Manager for Xerox International covering Africa, Eastern Europe and India. Initially he worked closely with a start up joint venture in India and was then responsible for Organisation Development in Eastern Europe as it moved to a market economy.
A key member of the Application team that prepared and won the European Quality Award in 1992, he also had responsibility for Pan European Benchmarking and the internal Xerox self-assessment Process. Since 1995 Richard has worked externally within the US, Western Europe, China, Turkey and Hong Kong.
He is currently on the Editorial board of Knowledge Management Magaz ine and is one of the Keynotes at KM Europe 2004
