Riccardo is a versatile award-winning self-shooting director and video artist who combines extensive commercial design, animation and live action experience with a constant eye on the evolution of aesthetics, client needs and technology.
Riccardo’s multi-disciplinary approach to film projects has given him a breadth of directing experience in a wide variety of genres over the years: documentaries, drama, live visuals, animation, corporate films, commercials and promos.
He has directed adverts and films for J.W.Thompson, Nike, Agent Provocateur, Adams Kara Taylor, Spoon Magazine, Transport for London, Red Cross, Housing Corporation, Greenwich Childrend’s Fund, Sartoria, Fourth Passenger, the London Development Agency, European Union, Haringey Council, Greenwich Council, Italian Ministry for Labour and Social Policy. He has worked with personalities such as Wim Wenders, Luis Bacalov, Gino Paoli, Vivien Westwood, Dita Von Teese, Shara Nelson, John Rankin, Danilo Rea, Antoine Duhamel, Rita Marcotulli, John Ward, Fabregas and Drogba.
His films have been screened on many international channels in UK, Italy, USA, Netherlands, Germany, Japan, Korea and France.
His eclectic approach to directing is combined with an intense and individual style, based upon his vision of social themes.
With an importance placed on composition, locations, and music, he maintains his sharp, kinetic style through editing and shooting, delivering a vision that is at once organic, intimate and intense.
Riccardo graduated with BA Honours in History of Cinema at the University of Literature and Philosophy of Bologna and then at the New York Film Academy with a Diploma in Directing and Photography and then completed a MA in Direction at the London School Film.
