Digital library (DL) practitioner in the non- and not-for-profit sector with a strong belief in the value of open information and data sharing. Designing and evaluating these types of information services is seen as a social practice and creation of DL's approached as human centered iterative design.
Experienced in both the social sciences data archiving world ( www.iassistdata.org ) and in the library world ( www.ifla.org) and having the grand view that Internet and DL's can bridge the musem, archving and library world to the benefit of e-learning, e-research, e-government and plain fun. Convinced that Open Source DL solutions like Greenstone and approaches to sharing content like Creative Commons should in particular benefit the developing world.
