(Biography) A lifelong entrepreneur, David has developed several successful companies throughout his career. As a high school student, David founded FocusBooks, selling specialty books using direct marketing channels and niche magazine advertising. Upon graduating Susquehanna University with a business degree, David started countrySong.com, which grew into a leading and award-winning country music portal.
In 1999, Gaylord Entertainment acquired countrySong.com and David joined Gaylord Digital, the company’s internet division. In that same year, David also founded Sprout, a research and development company with the mission of cultivating unconventional business ideas. Sprout has been instrumental in the development, launch and growth of numerous companies, including Netwurk, Finagle, and Verberate.
David continues to expand ideas for internet-driven companies and has several projects currently under development.
