Oracle was new for Nomura, one of the worlds most prestigious Japanese Investment Banks; A very strong Oracle DBA was needed to build the infrastructure that will serve for the following years of operation. I was in charge of this task. I created kornshell scripts on Solaris and Linux, Installed and Configured Oracle 10g Grid Control (OEM), RMAN, Data Guard and Oracle Streams - Managed a total of about 100 databases.
I was also the lead Oracle DBA for Peoplesoft HR, EPM & FS, and for NCDI, Teleran and many other critical Oracle systems.
I am still doing some consulting work with Nomura on demand for very specific Oracle DBA projects.

I joined Richemont in a very short notice and solved all of the most critical Oracle problems I was engaged for in the first week. The client is very satisfied of the results of my work that included the resolution of a critical ORA-01555 (Snapshot too old error) as well as several locks and performance and tuning projects. All of my work was explained to the two DBAs that were on site. They were also given a complete report of the resolutions/actions done.
