As a teenager, before I even knew design was a profession, I was creating press kits and gig flyers for local bands, including my own. Then one day I woke up with a mortgage, wife and two kids and thought, “I should probably figure out what to do with my life. If I was going to be a rock star, it probably would have happened already.” Then I saw a commercial for a design college on TV and thought, “ I could do that”. It wasn’t until much later I discovered that working with media and the arts ran in my family.
I went to school and learned about digital prepress, audio and video production, web development and graphic design. I immediately started to pick up freelance work and after graduating with a degree in Interactive Media I started to work as a creative for a small agency. I soon realized that college was not the end of my education but the beginning. As the client projects and freelance work got more complicated I started to look at the big picture stuff.
Since then I’ve worked as a graphic design and web development instructor, web developer, graphic designer, creative director, marketing communications manager and, of all things, an organizational project manager tasked with organizational strategy planning and execution.
From my days of being a professional musician i have developed skills for podcasting, which acted as a segway into social media. I also have a love for branding and advertising along with the metrics needed to do both. I specialize in the digital space and message integration across channels, and I seem to have alot of fun with pay per click search.

After freelancing for a while, and going to barcamp Albuquerque, I met and worked with some really talented people. It was only a matter of time before we realized that there was something special happening and seven-gen was born. A core group of people I found myslef working with consistently formed seven-gen as a fully integrated digital agency. I am glad that we made it over 2 years, but in mid 2009, we closed the doors.
