ONLINE EDITOR
I now manage the growing and gifted Editorial team at Classmates.com and lead many of the initiatives for the Creative Services department. The brand voice is changing, the site is being re-designed, and my sleeves are rolled up.
CREATIVE CONSULTANT
I have recently worked with an invention studio, online games developers, a design firm, a book publisher, an educational and tutorial center, a printing company, and a mobile content provider.
GAMES COPYWRITER
As the Copy Curator at Cranium, I led the editorial re-branding of the product packaging. Prior to that, I was the senior writer for Mattel Games Design in L.A. I helped create and develop brands from the research and brainstorming to play testing and final execution of the content, packaging, and rules. I worked on developmental games for young children, licensed products for kids, and social interactive games for adults.
MAGAZINE EDITOR
Before being a gamer, I was the Managing Editor for “Entertainment@Home” magazine, a national publication that explored the convergence of media in the digital era. I was one of the principals that helped launch this magazine. In addition to being a regular contributor to its film section, I was also the Music Editor for the weekly “Entertainment Today” magazine.
FREELANCE WRITER
I've contributed stories of pop culture to publications including “Premiere,” “Rolling Stone,” and “Request.” I’ve also written about travel--from the tale of a Bollywood film star in “Soma” magazine--to my experience at a Croatian peace camp in the book, “Europe from a Backpack.”
CHILDREN'S ADVOCATE & TEACHER
I served on the Board of Directors for the non-profit, the Global Children’s Organization. In addition to fundraising and re-designing the website, I have volunteered as a camp counselor globally. I've been a teacher and guest lecturer, espousing the virtues of volunteering, travel writing, word play, and games design.
