Sam Hutchinson’s Summary

Primarily a front-end web designer, I am a rare breed, being able to communicate and code with programmers, liaise with account managers and clients, and also understand the technicalities of the printing trade.

Formally trained in Fine Art and Computer Science, I have over 12 years’ professional experience of delivering design for print and web.

I am an experienced designer with strong commercial awareness and excellent client-facing skills. I am an expert in guiding a project from concept to delivery in an effective management style and though the motivation of busy creative teams.

Following a stint as Web, Design and Publications Manager at the University of Chester, I left to set up my own creative design agency Re:Align:Design Ltd. This highly successful venture quickly established a varied portfolio of public sector, private sector and blue-chip clients, providing them with everything from bespoke corporate photography through to corporate identity design and online marketing solutions.

I am computer literate in a wide range of areas of hardware and software, including extensive knowledge of professional print processes;

I produce strong creative concepts for digital media, video, live events and print production;

My presentation, organisation and layout skills are of an excellent standard due to my background in Art, Design and Communication;

I am experienced in working with multi-brand, multi-language businesses;

My leadership, management and development of client focused creative teams is effective and I am experienced in taking full creative briefs in client facing roles;
