Donald Stevens founded Tsunami REACH in March 2005 in response to the 2004 Asian Tsunami. Recognizing the tremendous need for quality housing solutions in countries devastated by the natural disaster. Donald organized an effort to share, free from profit, its environmentally friendly, affordable housing technology with those organizations charged with reconstruction activities.
With successful projects delivered in Sri Lanka, Tsunami REACH decided to expand its program worldwide. Therefore, Tsunami REACH has reconstituted itself to REACH, which brings environmentally friendly and sustainable homes to children affected by natural disaster, poverty, and war around the world through a collaborative partnership made up of the beneficiary, architectural design team, funding partners, environmentally friendly building system & material manufacturers, all of which is organized under the unique opportunity for anyone to travel abroad to participate in the construction of the project.
REACH is an IRS approved 501(c)3 tax-exempt non-profit organization. #33-1211165

The STUCC ON STEEL™ Building System is a patent-pending building system, capable of constructing residential housing units and commercial structures up to three/four stories tall. This one-of-a-kind building technology allows builders and developers the ability to build structures using a series of pre-manufactured light gauge steel framed panels, which can be easily erected on-site without the use of timber, cement block or reinforced concrete. Panels are then finished with SOS’s proprietary high-strength structural cementitious coatings. These coatings are applied to the exterior, interior walls, as well as, the floor and even the roof. Once the coatings cure they form a rigid, durable shell that is low-maintenance, highly resistant to natural disaster, fire and termites and is culturally accepted since it looks and feels like traditional “solid wall” construction.
