Robert Buckley’s Summary

Bob moved into the clean tech space in 2009 to focus on leveraging advanced software technologies in the wind energy sector. He brings more than 25 years of international information technology experience in sales, marketing, and general management.

He has an extensive background in advanced software technologies including operating systems, networking, development tools, source code analysis, coding standard enforcement, software components, and most recently in computational fluid dynamics (CFD). His experience includes working with start-up, pre-IPO, and turnaround environments plus at large publicly traded firms.

Bob knows how to synthesize complex, advanced software technologies and complementary professional services into value propositions that generate revenue. He began his successful career as a straight-commission salesman, proved himself as an award-winning individual contributor, was promoted to build and lead successful world-class international sales & professional services teams, and developed into an accomplished marketer and effective general manager. His wealth of experience adds high value since he knows how to creatively contribute strategically while ensuring execution tactically.

In addition to senior roles at PRQA | Programming Research, Mainsoft, ILOG, and Sun Microsystems' SunSoft, he held key positions with INTERACTIVE Systems, Eastman Kodak, and ATEX Publishing Systems.

Bob did undergraduate work at UMASS-Boston after serving in the US Navy, has an EMBA from Babson College, and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at The Wharton School.
