Development Expert at ChangingWorlds
Ireland
I currently work in product development but have in the past done consulting and held other client facing roles. However, product development is what makes this programmer a happy programmer :)
I work mainly with Java technologies but also hack in other languages when needed (c#, perl, php, python). I like to develop scalable and performant solutions and no matter what the detractors say, Java is a very good platform for this.
I prefer to use Scrum or other similar development methodologies in any project I am and strive to promote these ideals.
I also enjoy mingling with the community and I am currently one of the three Portuguese Java User Group (PT.JUG) leaders.
- Java SE, Java EE
- Designing robust and scalable architectures
- AJAX development with multiple technologies
- Version Control and Build systems
- DB design and optimization
- IOC, AOP
